A new technology is here, In-car innovation for mobile devices : Steer Safe steering wheel dock

Steer Safe is based on the idea that using your mobile device while driving can be safer, its basically a dock that is attached to the top of your steering wheel. By doing so, the designers believe driving will be safer as you’ll be able to keep your eyes on the road and won’t need to look towards either side to stare at your sat nav or find out who’s calling you while you’re busy driving.

The Steer Safe dock will universally fit almost any device shaped like a mobile phone ie iOS devices, BlackBerries, Android smartphones as well as mp3 players.

it also lets you rotate your device onto landscape mode in case you need it for turn by turn navigation. The good thing is I suppose its not very obstructive and it won’t hit your knees when you turn, but many will probably take abit of time to get used to as most of us aren’t used to having something stuck in the top-center of our wheel.

Samsung is going to launch Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in India as Samsung Galaxy Tab 750.

The next big bomb from Samsung - Galaxy Tab 10.1 is coming to India. This tablet will launch on 10th August 2011 as Samsung Galaxy Tab 750.
Samsung claims this tablet as the lightest and thinnest tablet ever launched in the market. Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 titled to be a perfect contender of Apple iPad 2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a global marketing name for the product P7500. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 signifies the device has a 10.1 inch screen. But, the name insisted by the company Tab 750 must have some logic behind. Similarly, the company announced an 8.9 inch tablet along with this device. But, the announcement has no word about the device.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 is powered by a 1Ghz Dual-core processor and the tablet looks very attractive. The tablet designed with 8.6mm thickness and claimed to be slimmer than Apple iPad 2. This device runs on Android OS v3.0 Honeycomb and comes with latest UI and widgets on the homescreen. There exists a dual camera, one with 3.2 megapixel and LED flash on the rear-side and the other with 2.0 megapixel placed on the front side. The slim size and Android experience are the only highlighting factors with this device.

Samsung will launch the device in two variants Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi with 3G and the combination of 16GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. The tablet is expected to be priced around Rs.35000 to 40000. But, high pricing will inherently reduce the dominance in the market share.
